Here’s a close-up of my shade. If you look closely, you can see that the spray adhesive soaked through my fabric and discolored it slightly. From a distance, you can’t tell at all, but it’s something to be careful about when applying your adhesive. Don’t go all spray crazy like I apparently did!

I absolutely love this! Way to go! Love your blog and the beautiful ways you've decorated your home! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, well done! It's lovely!!

That looks gorgeous!! The fabric had the writing on it already?? It is hard to tell.
I love the lampshade Beth! Looks wonderful!
Amazing!!! and a great price too! Thank you for inspiring this crafty challenged!!
I looks AMAZING! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to remember the name of that fabric because it's yummy!

You really ticked off PB this time, Beth. Beautiful!
XO,
Jane
Hi Angie! Thanks
. And yes, the fabric came that way already so it was just a matter of sticking it on.
This just sparked an idea in my head…thanks!
Love it! I don't have a place for anything with the script on it in my house but I love it. I love the rugs too. Good job!
Awesome job! Now you have me thinking lamps, lamps, lamps
I am loving that lamp and your blog..
Love it, Beth! That fabric is great! A better price I'm sure than even Ballard's fabric (which I had been eyeing but it's too expensive} & the PB shade. BTW, what are you doing at my house looking at my DIY lampshades? ; ) I am so bad at recovering lampshades.
Oh i adore that lamp shade!! Thanks for the great idea! I was planning on going to my thrift shore this weekend…a lamp [with potential] is on the list
Love me a PB knockoff and yours looks great!
That's gorgeous. And you cannot beat the price. Thanks for sharing. Now go get that chair redid so I can see it too.
Beth,
You did a great job! It looks stunning. Thank you for the tutorial.
Is there anything you can't do?!
Your Friend,
Deborah
I love this lamp! I've been coveting PB's script items for awhile now…just a bit expensive for me. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Pat
Okkkay, so now I want a lamp just like yours! Here's to going out tomorrow and looking through Goodwill and the Target Clearance sections!!!
Beth,
!
What can I say….
The lamp transformation is amazing! I think it is even better than the PB lamp! Love the rustic/chunky basket under the table too! Don't you love The Christmas Tree Shop! I have keep myself away sometimes, very addicting, in a good way
Beth, this is fabulous AND timely! I'm on the hunt for a new family room lamp myself and this was just the look I had in mind!! Good thing I'm off tomorrow to go hunting fabric and thrift store lamps
. Fun!!
Love it! It's a dead ringer, really. I would love for you to share this or another project at my linky party tomorrow! http://www.lovelycraftyhome.com
I love changing old lamps with spray paint! Yours looks great! I have spent time off and on all day perusing your site after seeing your post on Beneath My Heart. I love your projects!
Love it Beth. So so awesome!!
I love that you listed all where you got everything. I always forget those kind of details and they are so helpful!
I hope you are having a great week!
xoxo
Jen
Have any fabric left??? Your big sister wants it! (looks awesome btw)
I think your lamp looks amazing. Thanks for the tip of holding fabric in place. I could see me struggling before I thought of that.
Thanks for including the name of the fabric. It's gorgeous!
looks great and great tutorial, I need to recover some lamp shades, the clips are a great idea!

Oh, Beth, I'm loving this! I have a small lamp from IKEA and I noticed last week that the fabric on the frame was coming loose. Now instead of looking for a new frame I guess I need to look for some fabric. And I love your sisters comment
I would kill for that fabric! And kudos on the whole redo. Love it.
No need to commit murder girl! It can be yours very easily: http://amzn.to/h7GH8k
Beautiful!! I have the exact same lamp base!!! Just curious – was your black when you first got it?? Mine is now in a lovely ORB – but I really like the white!!!!
Weird the first two pictures didn't show up the first time! I can see it is yellow now! Ignore my previous question! (Oh and I shared on my FB page!)
And yet again… I am humbled by your brilliance!!! How does the jute wool feel on your feet. I am looking at rug for my living room, but I have very sensitive tootsies!
LOVE it!!! I'm sort of obsessed with all the script out there now….beautiful job! -shaunna
Hi! I'm a new follower. I came over from Traci's. Your lamp shade is fabulous, but the spools you made really caught my attention – I'm going to make them! Oh, I enjoyed the yellow and gray pics on a previous post. Who'd have thought that would be such a great combo! Linda
I love it!
The fabric is really beautiful and your finished lamp coordinates so perfectly. Great job!
Beautiful! I love the table vignette, too. I collect white milkglass, and I'm SHOCKED that you got that for free!
This is brilliant, love a great lamp makeover! The fabric is perfect, dare I say yours looks better than the PB version?
Janell
What an awesome tutorial! I can't wait to get crackin on my lamp shades!!!
This is so beautiful! It makes me want to run home and try it. We are desperate need of new lamps…..oh just about everywhere. We purchased our very first home over the summer and have been truely enjoying filling it will all kinds of crafty goodness
Beautiful job on your lamp!
Love it!
I host a PB/Ballard/Restoration Hardware Knock-Off party every month (next one is Jan 27) I'd be honored if you'd like to link up with this post or another one that fits.
holy awesome – i love this!
I LOVE IT!!!!! You are so amazing, do you know that?! It looks fantastic.
Beth, I love the lampshade and the fabric you used. Thanks for the tip about the clips.
xo,
Sherry
Wow, this looks great and I LOVE the fabric. I did something similar with a lamp I have and covered the shade with burlap. It didn't go under the shade well so I cut it off and added grossgrain ribbon on the edge. Love it!
Your lampshades are GORGEOUS!
This is Beautiful! I love how elegant it looks, and how easily it matches your decor. Thank you so much for your easy tutorial. This is going straight to my "must do" list. You are very creative!

These look great! I recently posted about me finding some great new lamps with script shades at Hobby Lobby~ for half price at 59.00 each. I was thrilled with that but this makeover blew that out of the park!
Awesome job.
Beth
I love it! I heart everything script print I have been seeing lately. Great tip about the glue. I always tend to be a bit heavy handed in the glue department.
So cute. I love it!
Beautiful! Well done!
Wow! You did sucha great job! I have been wanting a shade similar but I was thinking I would have to stamp or paint it on. This would be so much easier!! Thanks for a great idea. And btw, I miss CTS!!!
looks fantastic! And I like that the glue seeped through a bit, it made it look offwhite and antique looking.
Perfect in every way!!! I'm featuring you and linking to this post on my blog tomorrow. Great job!
I featured this over at Today's Top 20! I'd love if you stopped by!
P.S. I'm giving away fabric to celebrate 100 followers! hooray!
