I am a procrastinator by nature and really had no idea what I was going to do for my Spring mantel until today. But experience has proven that I work best under pressure! The inspiration for my mantel came from my recently purchased Bed Bath & Beyond canvas painting. It was 50% off due to a crack in the frame (which I promptly fixed with some Gorilla Glue). Kudos to whomever dropped this baby and damaged it for me! I love it and never would have purchased it if it hadn’t been so cheap!
The bird hooks in the bowl below are from my sponsor Timeless Settings. They are waiting to be hung in my foyer area, but until then I’m enjoying them as props!
Do you see that fuzzy white throw hanging on the couch? I purchased it from Target on clearance and I’m telling you that thing is HEAVEN! And because our weather seems to have lost its calendar, I’m still snuggled up with it on the couch each night.
The bird is from Michaels and the vintage Bible was found for free in a discarded box years and years ago. It has a wood cover and back and is perfectly worn and tattered.
The birdhouse was in my bedroom, and I moved it down here for the occasion. It’s from Hobby Lobby. The vintage scale was a Craigslist find and the bottles filled with dollar store flowers also came from my sponsor Timeless Settings.
The branches are from Walmart. Thank you BHG for helping Walmart compete a tad with our one-true-love…Target!
I might say this every time, but I think this mantel is my favorite one yet! And now it’s your turn!

Oh, I love it! That vintage scale is rockin' and I adore the picture. I love cheap canvas finds. Sometimes they're the same price as prints if you're lucky. I'll go and damage another one for you. haha.

Wow…. beautifully done and a surprise bargain? Even better! But the best aspect of your Spring Mantle has to be the vintage Bible. I'm not getting religious here, but I think in the midst of each of us trying to create the perfect Spring or Easter display, we lose sight of the meaning behind it. I know we all loosely say "I love" this and that, but I truly do love that you proudly incorporated such a significant and meaningful book in your beautiful home.
Hopefully, the weather will find its calendar soon – until then – NICE THROW!:D
